Evonik PMMA Venture

Evonik Industries has formed a joint venture, Evonik Acrylics Africa (Johannesburg), with plastics processor Ampaglas Plastics Group (Elandsfontein, South Africa), to produce Evonik’s extruded Plexiglas polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) sheeting. Evonik holds a 51% stake in the jv, which will also be responsible for the marketing of extruded Plexiglas sheet products, particularly in African markets.
