Evonik Builds L-Lysine Capacity in Brazil

Evonik Industries says it plans to build a new facility for the biotechnology production of L-lysine—an amino acid for animal feed that Evonik markets under the brand name Biolys—at the production site of Cargill at Castro, Brazil. The plant is expected to become operational by 2014.
