European Commission requests Germany to comply with rules on products containing MDI

The European Commission has officially asked Germany to adapt its law on chemicals by changing how it governs the sale of products containing methylene di-para-phenylene isocyanate (MDI). MDI is used in a number of applications, including hot melt adhesives, one-component foams, and sealants. Products containing MDI are commonly available for consumers, such as DIY products.
