Chemical Week Magazine :: Newsbriefs Eastman to Invest $200 Million in Pollution Controls at Kingsport12:51 PM MST | November 9, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Eastman Chemical says it plans to invest $200 million to install air pollution control equipment on five industrial boilers at its Kingsport, TN facility. Eastman says it is in the process of selecting an engineering firm and that equipment installation should take place between 2009 and 2013. The company says the investment is part of a larger plan at Kingsport to invest a total of $1.3 billion in capital projects. “This will be the largest single air pollution control project ever undertaken at Eastman’s Tennessee operations,” says Parker...
