EU output shrinks

Chemical production shrank 2.3% in the European Union in February compared with the same month last year, according to Cefic’s latest Chemicals Trends Report. Output of specialty chemicals dropped 4.2% year-on-year during February, and the production of petrochemicals, basic inorganics, and consumer chemicals dropped 1.5%, 1.2%, and 1.1%, respectively.
