EU Price-Fixing Probe Targets Calcium Carbide Producers

The European Commission says it raided the offices of “several calcium carbide suppliers in Austria, Germany, Slovakia, and Slovenia” last week as part of an investigation into possible price fixing in that market. Further details were not disclosed.
