ECHA's risk assessment committee concludes opinions for harmonized classification and labeling on 14 substances

The European Chemical Agency's (ECHA; Helsinki) committee for risk assessment (RAC) has adopted 13 opinions for harmonized classification and labeling (CLH) and one opinion at the request of the executive director. A summary of the opinions is outlined below: Nitric acid Nitric acid already has a harmonized classification as an oxidizing liquid, i.e., a substance that may intensify fire or acts as an oxidizer, and that causes severe burns and eye damage.
