ECHA proposes four SVHCs, EU to authorize five more

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) has proposed four more chemicals as substances of very high concern (SVHC). The substances are the dihexyl ester of 1,2-benzenedicarboxyl acid, branched and linear; cadmium chloride; sodium perborate; and sodium peroxometaborate. ECHA has invited comments by 17 April on the identity of each substance, its toxicity, whether it has persistent bioaccumulative or very persistent very bioaccumulative properties, and on other properties giving rise to an equivalent level of concern.
