ECHA cadmium inquiry

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says that, following a request from the European Commission, it is examining plans to expand the restriction on cadmium in plastics—under the European Union’s Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals legislation—from 16 selected plastic materials currently to all plastic materials.
