DuPont Wins 20-Year Injunction in Kevlar Case

Firefight: DuPont wins a victory in long-standing Kevlar dispute. A U.S. federal court has barred South Korea’s Kolon Industries from making aramid fibers products that compete with DuPont’s Kevlar brand. The 20-year injunction is the latest development in a long-running legal battle between DuPont and Kolon. Earlier this year, a U.S. judge sided with DuPont in an antitrust claim filed by Kolon against DuPont. A U.S. jury last year awarded DuPont $920 million in compensatory damages related to Kolon’s alleged theft of aramid fibers trade...
