Chemical Week Magazine :: Newsbriefs Dow Buys Out Siam Cement in Polyols-PU Venture10:15 AM MST | November 21, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Dow Polyurethanes, a Dow Chemical subsidiary, says it will increase its stake in Pacific Plastics Thailand Ltd. (PPTL) from 49%, to 100%, by purchasing the 51% stake held jointly by Siam Cement and two other partners. Financial terms were not disclosed. PPTL operates a polyols and polyurethane (PU) systems complex at Map Ta Phut, Thailand. “Dow Polyurethanes has been expanding globally through acquisitions and geographic expansions,” says Pat Dawson, Dow Polyurethanes president.
