Chemical Week Magazine :: Newsbriefs Developing Markets Boost Air Liquide in First Quarter7:26 AM MDT | April 27, 2012 Air Liquide says its sales in the first quarter of 2012 increased 6.7%, to approximately €3.78 billion ($5 billion), compared with €3.54 billion in the first quarter of 2011. First-quarter 2012 sales growth reflects a progressive improvement in consumption of industrial gases by Air Liquide’s clients, the company says. However, the sales figure is 2% below the €3.86 billion that analysts at Bernstein Research (London) had forecast. Earnings were not disclosed.
