Chevron Phillips Chemical breaks ground on cracker at Cedar Bayou

Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem; The Woodlands, TX) has broken ground on its US Gulf Coast (USGC) Petrochemicals Project at the Cedar Bayou plant in Baytown, TX. The USGC project, slated for completion in 2017, will comprise a 1.5-million m.t./year ethane cracker at the Cedar Bayou facility and two 500,000-m.t./year polyethylene facilities at Old Ocean, TX....
