Belarus gives BPC new legal structure, tax exemption

Belarusian Potash Co. (BPC; Minsk), until recently an export cartel operated jointly by Belaruskali (Soligorsk, Belarus) and Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia), will be reoriented to coordinate all of Belarus’s potash exports, says a report from Belarusan state-owned news agency BelTA quoting the presidential press service. Uralkali announced on 30 July that it would stop selling potash through BPC. Belarusan President Alexander Lukashenko signed a series of decrees establishing a new legal structure for BPC and granting it fiscal advantages, the report says....
