Bayer sells IP, patents for nanotubes, graphenes

FutureCarbon (Bayreuth, Germany) has agreed to acquire the bulk of Bayer MaterialScience’s intellectual property (IP), patents, and technology for carbon nanotubes (CNT) and graphenes. The patents were granted during the last 10 years. Bayer says it has concluded its research work on CNT and graphenes. “FutureCarbon will be carrying on our company’s work,” says Patrick Thomas, CEO of Bayer MaterialScience. “We remain confident that the technology harbors tremendous potential, particularly for a renowned specialist company like FutureCarbon.”...
