BP to Sell U.K. Ethyl Acetate and VAM Businesses

BP says it has put its ethyl acetate and vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) plants at Saltend, U.K. up for sale to focus on its acetic acid and acetic anhydride businesses at that facility. BP currently manufactures 600,000 m.t./year of acetic acid and 150,000 m.t./year of acetic anhydride at Saltend.
