BASF to hike global BDO and PolyTHF capacities

BASF says it will increase its global capacities for producing 1,4-butanediol (BDO) and for polytetramethylene ether glycol, a BDO derivative marketed under the PolyTHF name, within two years. BASF’s worldwide BDO capacity will rise from 535,000 m.t./year to 650,000 m.t./year, and its PolyTHF capacity will increase from 250,000 m.t./year to 350,000 m.t./year....
