BASF closes deal

BASF says it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Pronova BioPharma (Lysaker, Norway), a pioneer in the fields of researching, developing, and manufacturing omega-3 fatty acids. BASF held 98.19% of Pronova on 31 January and launched a compulsory acquisition process, or squeeze-out, to acquire the remaining Pronova shares at the voluntary offer price of 13.50 Norwegian kroner/share ($2.48).
