Chemical Week Magazine :: Newsbriefs BASF To Add Adsorbents6:04 AM MST | December 9, 2011 BASF is investing $20 million to upgrade its activated alumina adsorbent products plant at Vidalia, LA. The company will transfer all adsorbents capacity to Vidalia as part of the upgrade, and will close its Port Allen, LA adsorbents plant in 2013. The project is expected to be complete within 18 months. The Vidalia plant makes adsorbents used in petrochemical purification, air drying, Claus catalysts and chloride and fluoride removal.
