Chemical Week Magazine :: Newsbriefs BASF, FMC to Swap Crop Chemicals12:46 PM MDT | July 18, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff BASF and FMC say they have signed “several multi-year agreements” under which BASF gains access to FMC’s proprietary insecticidal chemistry zeta-cypermethrin, and FMC gains access to pendimethalin and imazethapyr, two premix products owned by BASF. BASF says it will begin marketing an insecticide based on FMC’s zeta-cypermethrin for control of insects on vegetables, corn, soybeans, cotton, wheat, and alfalfa in 2007.
