Arkema Buys Repsol’s PMMA Business

Arkema plans to acquire Repsol YPF’s polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) sheet and block business for an undisclosed amount. The business has production at Bronderslev, Denmark and Polivar, Italy, and generates sales of about €30 million/year ($44 million). Arkema’s Altuglas International subsidiary “markets 20% of PMMA world production in the form of acrylic sheet and resin,” Arkema says.
