Air Products to build hydrogen facility in India

Air Products has signed a long-term agreement with Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd. (BPCL; Mumbai) to build, own, and operate industrial gas production facilities at Kochi, Kerala State, India. The complex will provide hydrogen, synthetic gas, nitrogen, and oxygen for BPCL’s refinery and proposed petrochemical complex at Kochi. Air Products says the facilities will support India’s largest outsourced hydrogen requirement and will be the company’s first hydrogen facility in India.
