Air Liquide Expands Semiconductor Business in Asia

Air Liquide says it plans to expand its business with memory semiconductor supplier Hynix Semiconductor (Incheon, Korea) in Asian markets. The move is aimed at meeting the growing needs of the electronic consumer goods markets in the region. Air Liquide China will invest a total of about €35 million ($55 million) to build two ultra-high-purity nitrogen generators and expand oxygen, argon, hydrogen, helium, and compressed dry air supply at Hynix’s Hynix-Numonyx joint venture wafer lab at Wuxi, China.
