ACC regional production index gains in April

ACC has released its US Chemical Production Regional Index (CPRI), showing a 0.6% gain in April—with increased manufacturing in all seven regions. The CPRI grew 0.2% in March. ACC says manufacturing production unexpectedly slipped during April. However, on a three-month moving average basis, the nation’s overall manufacturing output was up. Outputs of chlor-alkali and other inorganic chemicals, synthetic dyes and pigments, industrial gases, consumer products, adhesives, organic chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and coatings were higher.
