Chemical Week Magazine :: Newsbriefs Huntsman and Sinopec form jv to build PO-MTBE facility6:24 AM MST | November 16, 2012 Huntsman Corp. says it has entered into a joint venture agreement with Sinopec Jinling (Nanjing, China), a subsidiary of Sinopec, to build a propylene oxide–methyl tert -butyl ether (PO-MTBE) facility at Nanjing, China. The jv, Nanjing Jinling Huntsman New Materials, will build and operate a world-scale PO-MTBE facility that will produce 550 million lbs/year of PO and 1.6 billion lbs/year of MTBE at a capital cost of about $750 million.
