Chemical Week Magazine :: Newsbriefs ADM and Kost Introduce Bio-heat Transfer Fluids7:26 AM MDT | April 27, 2012 Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) and Kost USA (Cincinnati), a manufacturer of heat transfer fluids, have jointly developed a new line of heat transfer fluids derived from renewable raw materials. ADM’s biobased propylene glycol is used in the heat transfer fluids, which are being sold under Kost USA’s BioChill product brand. Financial terms were not disclosed. The BioChill product generates significantly lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions during production compared with a heat transfer fluid derived from petrochemicals, the companies say.
