Leak at U.K. Plant Causes Injuries8:19 AM MDT | July 30, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Two workers were injured by a leak of hexamethylenediamine (HMD) from a pipe at BASF’s Seal Sands, U.K. site on January 4, BASF says. Both remained in the hospital, one in a “critical but stable condition,” on January 5, the company adds. A further 15 workers had been taken to the hospital for treatment for burns, skin irritation, and breathing difficulties, BASF says.
