Wacker extends polysilicon accord with China

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce (Mofcom) has announced that it is launching a one-year-long expiry review to decide whether the country’s antidumping and antisubsidy tariffs on polysilicon imports from Europe should expire. Mofcom, meanwhile, is prolonging an agreement that it reached with Wacker Chemie in 2014 under which Wacker pledged not to sell polysilicon produced at its European plants below a specific minimum price in China.
