WorleyParsons Selected by BASF For Plants in Brazil and China

BASF has awarded WorleyParsons the engineering, procurement, and construction management services contract, estimated at $80 million, for BASF’s previously announced acrylic acid and superabsorbent polymer plants in Brazil and China. BASF is building a 160,000-m.t./year acrylic acid unit and a 60,000-m.t./year superabsorbents plant at Camaçari, Brazil. It has secured propylene feedstock supply from Braskem.
