Wacker Expands Dispersions and Resins Capacity at Nanjing

Wacker Chemie says it will spend €40 million ($53 million) on projects to double capacity of vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer (VAE) dispersions and build a new plant to produce polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) solid resins at the company’s Nanjing, China complex. Wacker will add a reactor with a capacity of 60,000 m.t./year at the existing VAE facility at Nanjing, increasing VAE dispersions output at the site to 120,000 m.t./year.
