Vietnam refinery, petchems JV holds groundbreaking ceremony

Partners in the Nghi Son Refinery & Petrochemical (NSRP) joint venture project recently held a groundbreaking ceremony in the presence of high-ranking officials, including the prime minister of Vietnam, Nguyen Tan Dung. NSRP is owned 35.1% each by Kuwait Petroleum International and Idemitsu Kosan, 25.1% by PetroVietnam, and 4.7% by Mitsui Chemicals. The project comprises a 200,000-bbl/day refinery and three petrochemical units.
