Uralkali progresses with new potash mine at Berezniki

Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia), one of the worldâ€™s largest producers of potash, has given an update on the development of the Ust-Yayvinsky block of the Verkhnekamsk potash deposit. The company is progressing with sinking operations of skip shaft No. 1, designed to produce sylvinite ore. More than 130 meters have been sunk, and completion is planned for December 2016. Sinking operations of shaft No. 2, designed to transfer personnel and cargo, have been launched. The shaft, with an 8-meter diameter and 430-meter depth, is slated to be completed in spring...
