Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Uhdenora Awarded China Chlor-Alkali Contract7:17 AM MDT | September 21, 2012 Uhdenora (Milan), a joint venture between Uhde and De Nora, has been awarded a contract by Shandong Befar Group (Binzhou, China) for a chlor-alkali plant to be built at Binzhou. The new plant will be designed to produce 540 m.t./day of 100% caustic soda, based on Uhde’s single-element technology, which reduces energy consumption. Uhdenora will supply basic engineering for the cell house, together with Uhde single-element cells, cell room accessories, and instrumentation, as well as supervision services and technical support during commissioning.
