Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Uhde Inventa-Fischer awarded contract for JBF’s PET unit in Belgium8:24 AM MDT | October 26, 2012 Uhde Inventa-Fischer says it has been awarded a contract by JBF Industries (Mumbai) to build, at BP’s Geel, Belgium, manufacturing complex, the biggest polyethylene terephthalate (PET) production plant in Europe. The plant will have nameplate capacity for 432,000 m.t./year of PET for bottling and packaging applications, the company says. BP Chembel, which is located at the site, will provide the purified terephthalic acid feedstock.
