Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects UOP Technology Selected for Cumene-Phenol Plant in Korea7:14 AM MST | February 10, 2012 UOP, a Honeywell subsidiary, says it has been selected by Kumho P&B Chemicals (Seoul) to provide technology for a new phenol plant at Kumho P&B Chemicals’ site at Yeosu, Korea. UOP Q-Max and UOP Phenol process technologies will be installed and the new units, which are expected to start up in 2013-14, will produce 900,000 m.t./year of cumene and 300,000 m.t./year of phenol.
