UOP Supplies Technology For Korea M-Xylene Plant

UOP, a Honeywell subsidiary, says it has been selected by KP Chemical (Seoul) to supply UOP’s MX Sorbex technology, as well as engineering services, equipment, and adsorbent for a plant to produce meta-xylene at Ulsan, Korea. It will be KP’s second MX Sorbex plant, doubling the company’s m-xylene capacity, and is due to start up in late 2007. Capacity figures were not disclosed.
