Toray Raises Global Carbon Fiber Capacity

Toray says it will increase capacity for the company’s Torayca polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fiber in France, Japan, and the U.S., The company will spend ¥55 billion ($461 million) to add a combined 4,000 m.t./year by the beginning of 2009.
