Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Teijin Plans Third PC Unit in China8:55 AM MDT | July 30, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Teijin Chemicals, part of the Teijin Group, says it plans to build a third polycarbonate (PC) plant at Jiaxing, China. Teijin Polycarbonate China (TPC), a Teijin Chemicals subsidiary, will invest ¥11 billion ($92 million) to raise PC capacity at Jiaxing by 60,000 m.t./year, to 160,000 m.t./year. Construction will start next August, and completion is scheduled for March 2009. TPC was due to complete its second 50,000-m.t./year PC line at Jiaxing at the end of 2006.
