Tecnimont awarded FEED contract for Al Sejeel complex in Qatar

Tecnimont has been awarded the front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for the $5.5-billion Al Sejeel petrochemical complex at Ras Laffan, Qatar. Al Sejeel is a joint venture in which Qatar Petroleum holds 80% and Qatar Petrochemical Co. has the rest. The complex will produce a combined 2.2 million m.t./year of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) on completion in 2018.
