Technip to provide ethylene technology for CNOOC plant in China

CNOOC Oil & Petrochemicals (Beijing), a wholly owned subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC; Beijing), has awarded Technip a contract to supply proprietary ethylene technology and a process design package for a grassroots, 1-million m.t./year ethylene plant at Huizhou, China, Technip says. The contract also covers technical support during detailed engineering, precommissioning, and start-up.
