Technip Bags Contract for BP PTA Hike in Belgium...

Technip says it has been awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction management contract by BP for a previously announced expansion of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) capacity at Geel, Belgium (CW, April 12/19, 2006, p. 7). Technip’s operations and engineering center in Rome will be responsible for fulfilling the contract, which forms part of an alliance between BP and Technip in PTA, Technip says.
