Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Solvay Expands PVDF Capacity in France12:42 PM MDT | July 26, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Solvay Solexis (Bollate, Italy), a wholly owned subsidiary of Solvay, says it will expand capacity for polyvinyledene fluoride (PVDF) at Tavaux, France. The company will add 30% to the existing, undisclosed capacity by early 2009. Solvay and Arkema tie for global leadership in PVDF production. Solvay sells its product under the Solef trade mark. Existing markets for PVDF include semiconductors, oil and gas, pipe and fittings, and chemicals.
