Sibur Picks Technologies for Propylene-PP Project

Sibur (Moscow), a Gazprom subsidiary, says it has selected Ineos’s Innovene technology for a previously announced 500,000-m.t./year polypropylene (PP) complex at Tobolsk, Russia (CW, Jan. 31, p. 15). Sibur says that UOP will provide technology for an associated propane dehydrogenation facility, which will have capacity to produce 510,000 m.t./year of propylene. Fluor is the project manager.
