Saipem Awarded Contract for Safco Urea Manufacturing Unit

Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Co. (Safco), a manufacturing affiliate of Sabic, has awarded a turnkey contract for the engineering design, supply, and construction of the previously announced Safco 5 fertilizer plant to Saipem (Milan). The new plant will be one of the world’s largest urea production facilities with an investment cost of SR2 billion ($533 million).
