Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Sabic Forms Polystyrene Manufacturing JV in Turkey1:12 PM MDT | July 18, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Sabic says it has formed a 70-30 polystyrene (PS) joint venture with Baser Petrokimya (Istanbul). The jv will take over all of Baser’s PS assets, which include a 40,000-m.t./year plant at Adana, Turkey. Financial terms were not disclosed but Sabic says that the plant is worth $22 million. Sabic will market the jv’s entire output. It will be Sabic’s second PS-producing operation. The company’s Petrokemya affiliate makes PS at Al Jubail, Saudi...
