S-Oil awards Foster Wheeler FEED contracts for refinery upgrade

Foster Wheeler says S-Oil (Seoul) has awarded it contracts for the front-end engineering design (FEED) for a residue-upgrading project at S-Oil’s Onsan refinery at Ulsan, South Korea. The project is expected to raise production of polymer-grade propylene. Contract values have not been disclosed. The refinery upgrade includes adding a residue hydrodesulfurization unit, a residue fluid catalytic cracker, and multiple downstream upgrading units to enable the facility to produce more higher-value products and, in particular, maximize polymer-grade propylene output...
