Rashtriya Chemicals drops plans to build fertilizer complex in Ghana

Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (RCF; Mumbai) has shelved plans to build a $1-billion nitrogen fertilizer complex in Ghana because the company could not secure gas supplies for the project, Indian reports say. The company had planned to build the fertilizer complex in the Shama district of western Ghana after India and Ghana signed, in 2010, a memorandum of understanding to establish the complex.
