Petronas awards more Rapid contracts, Toyo gets cracker

Petronas (Kuala Lumpur) has announced more contract awards for the company’s $16-billion Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (Rapid) project at Pengerang, Johor State, Malaysia. The latest announcements follow the recent award to Sinopec Engineering of a 4.26-billion ringgit ($1.33 billion) contract covering engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) of the planned complex’s crude distillation, atmospheric residue desulfurization, and hydrogen collection and distribution units.
