Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects Perstorp Builds NPG Capacity in China7:30 AM MDT | May 6, 2011 Perstorp is building a 40,000-m.t./year neopentyl glycol (NPG) plant at its Zibo, China complex for completion in the second half of 2012. The plant is being established by Perstorp’s Shandong Fufeng Perstorp Chemical joint venture. The Chinese market is growing rapidly thanks to an increased awareness of the environmental benefits of powder coatings, the main application for NPG, says Mats Olofsson, v.p./resin intermediates at Perstorp.
