Chemical Week Magazine :: New Construction Projects PTT submits proposal for Vietnam refinery-aromatics complex7:10 AM MST | November 30, 2012 | —Natasha Alperowicz PTT (Bangkok) has submitted a prefeasibility study for a refinery and aromatics complex in Vietnam. The company is seeking potential joint-venture partners for the project, which is estimated to cost about $29 billion. The refinery would have throughput of 660,000 bbl/day and would be built in the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone in coastal Binh Dinh Province. Construction would begin in 2016 with possible completion in 2019. Output from the aromatics plant would likely be exported to China.
